Your assistant.
A useful set of tools.
Connect a compatible MCP client to WhimRoom for storage, document and folder workflows. You choose the accessible folders.
Set up through the Windows app
- Open Connect an AI assistant. Choose a focused documents, space or folders profile.
- Select an approved folder. There is no default grant to your entire home directory. A connection with no approved roots has no file access.
- Review the generated setup. Copy the generated configuration or review an update to an existing supported JSON client settings file. WhimRoom does not restart the client automatically.
- Test the connection. The local diagnostic checks the bounded standard-input/output connection. It does not prove acceptance in every external client.
What a client can ask for
- Inspect scoped storage and review evidence for space opportunities.
- Read selected documents and retrieve requested text or page information.
- Compare folders and prepare supported organization or copy plans.
- Inspect the status and results of supported jobs.
What remains your decision
Interactive file changes require a separate review in the native app. An assistant’s argument cannot approve a plan. Approved folders limit file workflows; explicit system-inventory tools can separately report application and startup metadata.
Understand the data boundary
The local MCP server uses standard input/output and opens no network listener. Requested tool results can include paths, metadata, hashes and extracted document text.
Once those results are returned to the connected client, its provider may process and retain them under its own policy. A local connection is not a claim that all connected AI processing stays on your PC.
Compatibility names
The current build retains the executable name SpacePilot.exe and server entry mcpServers.spacepilot for compatibility. Use the configuration generated by your installed app rather than guessing an installation path.
