A public price, trial and final commercial offer have not been announced. Development and local testing do not create an active paid offer. Check the actual Store offer when it becomes available.

The current package targets x64 Windows 10 version 2004 or later and Windows 11, with .NET Framework 4.8. Bundled native OCR and categorization workers require the x64 Visual C++ v14 runtime. There is no advertised native ARM or 32-bit release.

Ordinary local file and document work does not require a WhimRoom or AI account. Store acquisition, connected storage, cloud placeholders and an optional AI client can have their own network and account requirements.

The current candidate supports English and German interface selection. System language follows supported Windows language settings. Some advanced diagnostics can remain English. File paths and document contents are not translated.

No. Analysis observes files and can save local metadata and history. Interactive file changes have a separate review. Automatic filing and scheduled tasks run only after explicit setup under their saved policy.

Yes. Set an optional space target and inspect a selected drive or folder. The result can fall short: a target is not permission to remove unrelated files, and estimates are not measured reclaimed space.

No. Age and size are clues. WhimRoom can inspect relationships, verify retained file contents and present evidence for supported cases. Unknown or inconclusive cases remain for review.

No. Some cleanup operations delete permanently without the Recycle Bin or an automatic backup. Recovery receipts cover eligible recorded operations, not every removal. Read the confirmation and keep independent backups.

Exact duplicate checks compare file contents. Similar-photo and decoded audio/video tools find candidates with coverage and decoder limits. A similar-media result is not proof of identical bytes or permission to remove either file.

The missing-only Combine workflow previews eligible additions while retaining source files and existing destination files. Conflicts, unreadable entries and partial coverage must be reviewed; it is not an automatic bidirectional sync.

Logical sizes, allocated storage, hard links, compression, quotas, cloud placeholders and other running activity affect available space. A capacity change alone cannot prove how much a particular cleanup reclaimed.

Supported readable locations exposed through Windows include internal and removable drives, mapped or UNC network folders, and Windows-connected cloud roots. Permissions and availability apply. Direct cloud-account login is not part of the current scope.

Connected-storage inspection distinguishes online-only observations and locally available content. A content-reading operation or provider can require hydration. Review the operation and provider state rather than assuming every task is offline.

Supported transfer queues retain progress for later review and resumption. Reconnect the location, inspect errors and verify the actual result. Copying does not automatically authorize removal of the source.

Read supported PDFs/images, search extracted page text, use local OCR, arrange or rotate selected pages, and create a new searchable scan PDF. OCR can be uncertain; searchable scan output is a raster PDF with a text layer, not a promise of preserved original PDF structure.

No. Literal rules, examples-based vocabulary and local semantic categorization are separate options. Review suggested categories, unmatched or ambiguous items, content coverage and destination conflicts before accepting moves.

After you explicitly configure and enable it, automatic filing follows the saved rules and scope. Inspect that policy before activation. Folder observation and scheduling are not a blanket approval for arbitrary AI changes.

WhimRoom is a file and storage workspace. It is not an antivirus, a registry repair promise or general deleted-file recovery software. Recovery is limited to supported records and verified backup workflows.

It lets a compatible local stdio MCP client discover and call WhimRoom tools: inspect approved locations, read documents, compare files, prepare plans, request native review and inspect actual outcomes. The 0.273 all profile exposes 109 tools.

No. A tool call can prepare a plan or open a native review, but the assistant cannot substitute its reasoning for the human action required by that review. Requesting approval does not mean an operation succeeded.

No. The server uses local standard input/output without a network listener, but returned paths, metadata and requested document text reach the connected client. Its provider can process or retain them under its own policies.

Do not assume so. The current connection requires a client that can launch a local stdio MCP process on the Windows PC. A hosted client that accepts only remote HTTP servers cannot use this configuration directly. Compatibility depends on the client and its installed version.

No reviewed directory listing, registry publication or provider endorsement is claimed here. The local MCP implementation and its catalogue are distinct from an official listing. A hosted AI model or external AI subscription is not included.

Use the configuration generated by the installed app, check its executable path and approved folders, then restart the client connection. Discover capabilities before running work, poll job outcomes and inspect partial coverage. Send support the client/version and a redacted error, not private documents or keys.
